Turing Tar-pit

A term coined by Alan Perlis in 1982.

54. Beware of the Turing tar-pit in which everything is possible but nothing of interest is easy.”

The best examples are esoteric programming languages such as Brainfuck, Whitespace and Piet. Those are technically Turing-complete, but it would be very hard to use them for anything useful.
