Emojis In Git Commit Messages

I was looking at Ghost’s source code on Github and I noticed that they sometimes use emojis in their commit messages. I didn’t know you could.

It’s an interesting approach. You could have emojis to quickly identify a type of commit. For example, you could have a snail emoji for commits related to performance.

git commit -m "🐌 Improve performance"

Just an idea, I don’t think I’ll ever act on it.
