0 Devices Supported

I ran into this bug today. I uploaded a new APK to the Google Play store and I was greeted with this screen.

No Devices Supported

Knowing that the Google Play store only uses the AndroidManifest.xml file to figure out which devices are supported, I was able to figure out where the problem lied.

Here’s what I found in my manifest.

<uses-feature android:name="android.hardware.camera" android:required="true" />
<uses-feature android:name="android.hardware.camera2" android:required="true" />

Both android.hardware.camera and android.hardware.camera2 are required. They are mutually exclusive. Changing those lines to -

<uses-feature android:name="android.hardware.camera" />
<uses-feature android:name="android.hardware.camera2" />

- fixed the issue.

Some Devices Supported

In conclusion, if you get a 0 Devices Supported error, fix your AndroidManifest.xml.
